Only bought the second one because my wife thought first one was too old. Pulled the plug out of the outlet and found the metal prongs to be hot! Found the power plug and wire of the unit to be warm. Third day the smell was stronger, deducting that the only common denominator was that this was happening when I had used the Ninga CoffeeMaker. NOTE: We had always turned the plate heater off after the pot has brewed because my wife didn’t want the burnt coffee taste. Checked all the power outlets in the house to see if any one of them was warm, didn’t find any of them to be warm.
